Our mission is to administer, preserve, conserve, research and disseminate the anthropology, visual arts and numismatics collections of the Banco Central de Costa Rica.
To be a dynamic, efficient institution with high standards of quality in administering and researching the collections and in the services it offers in full commitment to social responsibility and the principles of self-sustainability.
The Central Bank Museums are comprised of:

The exhibition showcases the use and function of the pieces, the technology of their fabrication, as well as their relationship to the natural world and the daily life of these societies.
- The Numismatic Museum Currently exhibiting the show "From the 'Real' to the 'Colón': a History of Costa Rican Currency," which presents the evolution of the different means of exchange from 1502 to the present.
