The Temporary Exhibition Galleries located in the building’s second underground level, offer a dynamic program in the visual arts and other subjects, for example, ethnology and history.

Our temporary exhibition areas showcase renowned international and national artists as well as thematic and technical displays.

In 1998 the Central Bank Museums Foundation received the prestigious ANCORA prize, awarded by the daily newspaper La Nación in recognition of the level and quality of the temporary exhibitions and its support to the development of Costa Rica arts and culture.

Each one of the exhibits is sustained by exhaustive research, whose results are compiled in books, catalogues and posters.
